Would Ancelotti's Diamond midfiled work for Chelsea ?

Chelsea are moving away from the orthodox 4-3-3 that was used
by Jose and later inherited by Grant and Scolari. A bold
decision but a system re haul was very much on the cards.
There are critiques of the diamond and then there are the
ardent believers.

Chelsea line up this season would be something like this

One major positive this formation offers us is the fact
that it allows Ancelotti to play both Drogba and Anelka
upfront in the natural positons. Mid-field is one of our
major strength's. This formation will allow us to use
that strength to a great extent.

This formation looks great on paper, But one of the major
concerns will again be width. We will have to rely on the
full-backs to provide us width again.
When the player who plays behind the strikers (lampard in
our case) gets marked tightly , centre play becomes very
difficult. In this case you have to bank on your wide
players (those on either side of diamond) to bail you
out.you need to have great quality in that department.
It never works against big sides or organised defences
and we end up looking very very narrow.

But Ancelotti has experienced success at AC Milan with this
diamond formation in the midfield.But then AC Milan had two
play-makers Kaka and Pirlo in his midfield which Chelsea lacks.

Lets wait n see how it works out for Chelsea.

EPL season 2009-2010

It only seems a moment ago that the 2008-09 season came to a
close, but the new EPl season is just abt three days to start.
We had a slight trailor to this last weekend itself when
chelsea played with Manchester untied for the community
shield.Chelsea won the game in the penalties after the
scores were level at 2-2.the controversies were fair and
square in the game.

Champions Manchester United (recent slow starters in the
league) will face off against newly promoted Birmingham
at Old Trafford on opening day. Chelsea play with Hull
at StamfordBridge.Spurs against liverpool and arsenal
take on Everton on the opening day.

The new season looks very promising.Manchester city investing
millions of money to get in players like Tevez,Adebayor,
santa cruz,Barry,Kolo toure.I believe there would be stiff
competition for the Top 4 finish.The Big 4 would face
severe competition from Manchester city,Everton,AstonVilla
and the spurs.

Need to wait n see whether losing Ronaldo and Tevez would
cost united.Chelsea have more or less the same team barring
two new additions(Yuri zhirkov and Sturridge).The major
change in chelsea in manager Ancelloti.

Pokkisham

Pokkisham, starring Cheran and Padmapriya in lead roles, talks
about a young couple's romance and deals with love story in the
form of letters.It’s a simple love story set in the 1970s, when
there were no cell phones, SMSs or emails and Love blossoms and
is nurtured through letters.‘Pokkisham’ is finally going to
release 15th August.I believe Pokkisham will refresh all the
love-related precious memories in all of us.After a sequence
of movies with rural background/masala genres pokkisham
would be a fresh relief.

Sabesh-Murali duo have composed music for Pokkisham.This album is
full of melody songs.
The song ‘Varum Vazhi Engum’ sung by Ranjani is awesome.The
flow of emotions that she conveys through her voice really
rolls over the picture in front of our eyes.
Moondru naal aagume soft melody by karthik, with its free
flowing verse and lovely sax phrases is superb.
'Nila Nee Vaanam’ is beautiful, especially the parts by
Chinmayi - wonderfully sung!
I liked the above three songs.The location and the
picturisation of the songs were also done superbly.

Today marks a rather unique milestone.3 years ago the same
day I joined this company(EFI) as a fresher from college.
I have made some great friends here, quite a few for life.
I have learnt a lot, personally and professionally, and
would forever be grateful to all my friends who have taught
me everything.

Ayirathil oruvan.Its been running non stop in my media-player
for the last few days.This romantic melody is sung by Andrea
and G. V. Prakash.(Andrea’s voice has the extra magical feel
in it).Mild soothing beats and well-organized rhythms make
this song more addictive(esp the starting guitar chords)

The world saw the disappearance of an A330 Air Frane during a trans Atlantic flight between Rio to Paris. Very ironic that a day before I got a mail of the photos taken by a passenger on a flight mins after a mid air collision, and mins before the crash of the said aircraft

Two shots taken inside the plane before it crashed. Unbelievable! Photos taken inside the aircraft that was involved in a mid air collision and crashed.....

It had a mid air collision with the Embraer Legacy while cruising at 35,000 feet over South America. The Embraer Legacy, though seriously damaged with the winglet ripped off, managed to make a landing at a nearby airstrip in the midst of the Amazon jungle. The crew and passengers of the Embraer Legacy had no idea what they had hit. Aircraft
however crashed, killing all crew and passengers on board.


The two photos attached were apparently taken by one of the passengers, just after the collision and before the aircraft crashed. The photos were retrieved from the camera's memory stick. You will never get to see photos like this. In the first photo, there is a gaping hole in the fuselage through which you can see the tailplane and vertical fin of the aircraft. In the second photo, one of the passengers is being sucked out of the gaping hole.



These photos were found in a digital Casio Z750, amidst the remains in Serra do Cachimbo. Although the camera was destroyed, the Memory Stick was recovered. Investigating the serial number of the camera, the owner was identified as Paulo G. Muller, an actor of a theatre for children known in the outskirts of Porto Alegre. It can be imagined that he was standing during the impact with the Embraer Legacy and during the turbulence, he managed to take these photos, just seconds after the tail loss the aircraft plunged. So the camera was found near the cockpit. The structural stress probably ripped the engines away, diminishing the falling speed, protecting the electronic equipment but not unfortunately the victims. Paulo Muller leaves behind two daughters, Bruna and Beatriz.

Deception Point Novel review

Deception Point," Dan Brown's novel, is about the political
consequences of a NASA claim to have discovered a historic
meteorite embedded in ice for more than three centuries.It
has so many twists and turns, is packed with fast moving plots,
visual descriptions and ofcourse tidbits of romance.Brown's
description about the people, locations, machineries etc are
just perfect.This is the fourth Dan brown novel am reading
after DaVinci code,A&D and Digital Fortress

Deception Point is a story of a senator’s daughter who gets
trapped in a complete mess which also includes the most
powerful men in the world "the President of the US", "Head
of the NASA","The head of NRO".The story revolves around
the political individuals driven by a unstoppable ambition
to grab the Presidential seat of government.

It proceeds with the same exciting, stunning fact-filled
writing like all other Dan brown's.It is a page-turner,
fast-moving and entertaining.Now, the real fun is trying
to figure out who is the prey and who is the mastermind!
Actually I didn’t get it right and I am sure even you
wont get it either. Trust me, it is an absolute cracker.
One more advantage of this book is there are not too
many parallel plots which keeps u stuck to the main plot.
Though in this novel i found it hard to believe that the
President of only super power country, who is aware of
all the things happening around the world does not know
what happens under his nose.

The main plot deals with power, authority, and obviously
well-developed deception. It is a gripping thriller and
adrenalin pumping read that I recommend you.
